Texas Tech University and University Student Housing believe in cultivating a society that value the protection and responsible use of our planet's valuable resources. Getting involved and learning about sustainability efforts and practices can help you become more aware of the challenges we face in responsibly managing resources.
Sustainability Pledge
University Student Housing is committed to doing our part by reconsidering and modifying some of our daily habits and together, we can work to reduce, reuse and recycle many resources. To help us with these efforts, we are asking students to sign a Sustainability Pledge.
Sustainability Scholarship
Our goal for the Sustainability Scholarship is to promote awareness and educate students on the importance of achieving economic prosperity in our current lifestyle and for future generations. Our focus is making our campus more sustainable based on the three "R's" - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
On-Campus Initiatives and Organizations
Sustainability starts with becoming aware of how our daily activities affect the environment around us. How many drink cups do you go through in a day? Do you really need to copy out 50 pages from that book in the library? Just by reconsidering and modifying some of our daily habits, we can work to reduce, reuse and recycle many resources.
